Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Mr. Kepley (Colin) moved to Orlando, Florida in 1980; which gave him the opportunity to attend the University of Florida to earn his degree in Construction Management under the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction. While in college and after, Colin worked for the Centex Rooney Construction Company (now Balfour Beatty Construction) on several projects such as Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, All Star Resort, and Animal Kingdom Lodge; to name a few. He then transferred to South Florida in 2001 into the Estimating Department spreading his time with Centex. Colin later joined BJ&K Construction where he became Senior Project Manager and completed numerous multi-family mid-rise and hi-rise projects; totaling a value over $500 million dollars. Following BJ&K Construction, Coastal Construction Company referred Colin to Biscayne Roofing for one of their unique projects; the St. Regis Resort in Bal Harbour. On this project, Colin was to manage the main architectural feature of this resort; a two (2) million dollar design-build precast concrete building cladding system over some of the latest waterproofing applications. After this point, Colin moved on becoming a Construction Manager for Wood Partners Development, at the time the largest apartment developer in the country. While at Wood Partners, he managed large residential and commercial projects in Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Washington DC areas. Later, Colin accepted the position of Vice President at Biscayne Roofing; extended to him from his hard work and dedication on St. Regis. “All” which give Colin the ability to formalize Skilcon. At Skilcon, Colin has full responsibility of the business operations. He provides leadership and direction for all projects to include day-to-day management of estimating, field installations, safety, quality control, scheduling, and ensures all the best resources are utilized to complete work to the satisfaction of (ultimately) their clients.
Karina was born in the small town Anaco in Venezuela. She attended Catholic Andres Bello University where she got a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Project Management. Karina was born in the small town Anaco in Venezuela. She attended Catholic Andres Bello University where she got a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Project Management. Following college, she worked for Jacris Construction building affordable housing as Assistant Project Manager. Karina then move to Boston, Massachusetts where she continued her education. Karina return to Venezuela and worked with Guayacan Engineering as Project Coordinator. She moved on to work with Andrade Gutierrez Construction as Project Coordinator building the 2nd largest Industrial Steel Manufacturing Plant “Ignacio Abreu D’Lima”. A project valued over $4 billion dollars. She moved to the United States and started doing interior build-outs for Menin Hospitality as Project Coordinator. Karina started her carrier in roofing and waterproofing 2018 as Assistant Project Manager and have move up to Project Manager and now Vice President of Skilcon. Karina oversees day to day in office operations, purchasing and our project management staff.
Michael is originally from Canton, Ohio. After graduating high school, he served our country in the US Army. In 1989 Michael moved to Florida and joined Morton Roofing as a laborer. Naturally, he quickly moved up to roofing Mechanic and gained a reputation for his abilities doing wood & metal work. Michael joined Latite Roofing in 1992 af

Michael joined Latite Roofing in 1992 after hurricane Andrew as a roofing Mechanic and then worked his way into the office as Project Manager running custom residential and commercial projects. While working full-time days supporting his family, he received his Associates Degree in Computer Engineering in 1998. After 13 years at Latite Roofing, Michael ventured on his own and was a co-founder of Millennium Makeover Inc. He later joined Southern Coast Enterprises Inc. and with his knowledge and experience began as Chief Estimator. Mike’s roll at Skilcon is he strategizes and collaborates with our estimators and operations team to provide the most accurate cost savings estimates, and best solutions to any details. He plays a pivotal role from training, to supervising projects and sales, from pre-construction to completion.
